Division Manager - Wind Operations & Maintenance

Mountain Renewables is a power plant service company based in Tehachapi, CA. Our teams build, operate and maintain utility-scale wind turbine and solar PV power plants across the United States. We are accepting applications for Wind Division Managers to join our expanding team of expert problem solvers.



  • Wind Project Manager - Operations and Maintenance

    • Scopes: Preventative Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Retrofits, Inspections, Audits, and Site Operations



Employees in this role are accountable for the profit and loss of their assigned division including the daily oversight of their projects, resources, tooling, and subcontractors. Reporting to the Service Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and close out of each project. Successful candidates must be able and willing to travel up to 50% as needed to meet business and customer requirements. 



  • Assure assigned projects abide by all environmental safety awareness and compliance.

  • Maintain a strong culture of performance excellence among the field teams. 

  • Maintain and establish customer relationships. 

  • Manage projects to ensure profitability per the job cost estimate.

  • Document and report project progress, performance, forecast, and summary to stakeholders each week, month, quarter, and annual reporting period.



  • Engage customers to obtain sales referrals and maintain working relationships.

  • Engage and empower Lead Technicians to be successful with every assignment. 

  • Host project kick-off and close-out meetings with all stakeholders. 

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle through initiation to close out.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to build sales proposals. 

  • Monitor and Track all assigned employees, subcontractors, trucks, tooling, and equipment. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.  

  • Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, and other project costs.

  • Manage all vendors or subcontractors, including purchase orders and invoices. 

  • Report project metrics weekly, monthly, and at project closure.

  • Collaborate with coordinators to ensure proper payroll, invoicing, and cost tracking. 

  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure resource competency across segments.

  • Support and assign administrative tasks to the coordinators as needed.

  • Report directly to the Service Director and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Oversee the daily execution of assigned projects across multiple scopes, including, but not limited to your assigned segment. Potential to manage and oversee projects in other segments as needed. 

  • Manage projects from initiation thru closeout and oversee all safety reporting, quality reporting, service reporting, and key performance indicators of your assigned projects.

  • Lead teams to safely deliver high quality within the defined schedule and budget.

  • Utilize project management strategies to improve project performance, productivity, and profitability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvements.

  • Maintain inventory of assigned assets and project tooling.



  • +5 years of experience in the utility sector.

  • +3 years of Project Management experience in the utility sector. 

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA) in Project Management or Engineering or Related Field.

    • Or an Associate's Degree with +5 years of project management experience. 

    • Or 8+ years of project management experience.

  • Advanced-Data Analytics and Financial Reporting

  • Advanced with spreadsheets, accounting formulas, and creating custom reports. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned division. 

  • Ability to find cost-out initiatives that improve profitability while maintaining safety and quality.



  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Project Management preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Experience with managing utility projects preferred.
