OPEN POSITION

  • Wind Project Manager - Construction 

    • Scopes: Transportation, Receiving, Installation, Commissioning, Repower, Cranes and Rigging.

 

JOB OVERVIEW

Employees in this role are accountable for the profit and loss of their assigned division including the daily oversight of their projects, resources, tooling, and subcontractors. Reporting to the Service Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and close out of each project. Successful candidates must be able and willing to travel up to 75% as needed to meet business and customer requirements. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Technical leadership & communication.

  • Assure project abides by all environmental safety awareness and compliance.

  • Maintain a strong culture of performance excellence among the field teams. 

  • Document and communicate project progress, performance, and issues to all stakeholders.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel up to 75% as required to meet business and customer needs.

  • Engage customers to obtain sales referrals.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to build sales proposals. 

  • Empower front-line employees with the tools they need to succeed. 

  • Monitor and Track all assigned employees, subcontractors, trucks, tooling, and equipment. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality policies and procedures.  

  • Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, and other project costs.

  • Track through completion any vendor or subcontractor purchase orders and invoices.

  • Report project metrics weekly, monthly, and at project closure.

  • Collaborate with coordinators to ensure proper payroll, invoicing, and cost tracking. 

  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure cohesion across segments.

  • Support and assign administrative tasks to the coordinators as needed.

  • Report directly to the Service Director and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Oversee the daily execution of assigned projects across multiple scopes, including, but not limited to your assigned segment. Potential to manage and oversee projects in other segments as needed. 

  • Manage projects from initiation thru closeout and oversee all safety reporting, quality reporting, service reporting, and key performance indicators of your assigned projects.

  • Lead teams to safely deliver high quality within the defined schedule and budget.

  • Utilize project management strategies to improve project performance, productivity, and profitability.

  • Establish and maintain rapport with customers and field employees.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvements.

  • Maintain inventory of assigned assets and project tooling.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • +5 years of experience in the utility sector.

  • +3 years of Project Management experience in the utility sector. 

  • Bachelor Degree (BS or BA)

    • Or an Associates Degree with +5 years of project management experience. 

    • Or 8+ years of project management experience.

  • Advanced Data Analytics and Financial Reporting

  • Advanced with spreadsheets, accounting formulas, and creating custom reports. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned division. 

  • Ability to find cost-out initiatives that improve profitability while maintaining safety and quality.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Project Management preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Experience with managing utility projects preferred.
